Vacation watch: The Platteville Police Department offers a vacation watch program. A vacation form can be filled out at and submitted to the Town Hall prior to leaving. Officers will then make sure to patrol around your residence while you’re away. Please take advantage of this valuable service.
Peddlers/Solicitors: Please use caution when talking to peddlers and solicitors. Don’t let them in your house or give them unnecessary personal information. Don’t hesitate to ask for documentation and proper identification. Remember that it’s against the law to solicit and peddle without a town permit.
