Board of Trustee Vacancy

There is a vacancy on the Board of Trustees that needs to be filled by appointment.  The appointee will fill the vacancy until the next regular election in November of 2024.  The appointee must be a registered elector and have resided within the corporate limits of the Town of Gilcrest for a minimum of 12 consecutive months. Notice of Water Rate Increase

The Town Board adopted a new water rate structure  which will show up in the utility bills this March. The average residential water bill will increase by 12% based on historical usage.  The increase is necessitated by increased cost of treated water purchased from Central Weld County Water District (CWCWD).  The Town owns water rights in the form of units of Colorado Big Thompson managed by Northern Water which we transfer to CWCWD which they treat at their Carter Lake Treatment Plant and deliver treated potable water to the town through a master meter. Notice of Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held on Monday, February 13, 2023, 7:00 pm before the Board of Trustees to consider a Coordinated Planning Agreement (CPA) between the Town of Gilcrest and Weld County.   The purpose of this CPA is to establish procedures and standards pursuant to which the Town and County will move toward greater coordination in the exercise of their land use and related regulatory powers within unincorporated areas surrounding The Town of Gilcrest.  The public hearing will be held at Gilcrest Town Hall, 304 8th Street, Gilcrest, Colorado 80623.  Further information is available…
